The Prophet Who Never Was (India Through Civilizational Fiction)

.The Prophet Who Never Was (India Through Civilizational Fiction)

The eleven stories of Aravindan Neelakandan are about journeys that have no arrivals at destinations. but revelations that show that journeys must go on.

When one is not defined, one need not accept being defi ned by others or by any one entity or concept. Aravindan says all this through eleven stories and with endnotes for each story that helps the reader to contextualise the stories. Stories with mothers who give a child love and strength even if they are women who serve in gamblers' dens, mothers who give a child spiritual knowledge and strength through stories, mothers who feed a child with their hands opposing those who consider the child a defi led creature, mothers who embrace their children so that they can take the bullets.

On August 3, 1929, at Ommen, Netherlands, Krishnamurti addressed the Theosophists and formally dissolved the Order of the Star. He said in his address: Truth is a pathless land.... Since I believe that truth-seekers have no gender, I have altered it a bit, and that is also at the core of these stories: that bound by an inner love that sees no prejudices in terms of caste, creed or gender is a universe of love created.
